PURPOSE: Provided is a cooling panel in a vertical blast furnace which makes a rib become thinner in the direction of free end distant from a main body so that it prevents surface materials from being relaxed from the rib. CONSTITUTION: The cooling panel in the vertical blast furnace comprises the parts of: not less than one vertical ducts; a continuous tube(3) which is made from materials selected from groups which consist of low carbon iron, stainless iron, and alloy of copper and nickel and placed in each duct of the cooling panel; and multiple horizontal ribs(7) which are made from cast copper with surrounding the tube as residual part of the cooling panel and placed in an opposite side away from a connection edge(4).
