摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for compensating for disk disturbance are provided to compensate for a periodic disturbance component effectively and rapidly using a previously learned control result. CONSTITUTION: An optical recording medium drive servo system of an optical recording/reproducing apparatus includes an actuator(500), an error detector(510), a compensator(520), the first and second memories(530,540), a timing controller(550), and an adder(560). The actuator changes the position of a head for recording data on a recording medium or reproducing recorded data. The error detector detects a difference between a reference position on the recording medium and the actual position of the head. The compensator receives the output value of the error detector to generate an output value for driving the actuator. The first memory stores a control input for compensating for position error for one cycle of the actuator, which is caused by periodic disturbance. The second memory converts the contents of the first memory according to phase and stores the converted contents. The timing controller generates addresses of the first and second memories. The adder adds the output of the first or second memory and the output of the compensator to the actuator.
