The assembly includes an inner rail 8 mounted to a drawer, an optional intermediate rail 7, and an outer rail 6 mounted to eg a desk, the rail 8 having a rearward extension 82 bearing a locating flange 84 and a retaining notch 83. An injection moulded plastics positioning mechanism 5, for holding the drawer in the closed position, is attached to the inner rail and comprises a fixed block 51 whose side 513 and end (512) walls define an open chamber (514) which pivotally receives a movable block 52. The latter has pivot pins (5211) engaging holes 5131 in block 51, two clamping arms 521,522 joined at one end and separated by a gap 520 and an upstanding locating flange 523. On closing the drawer, flange 84 bears against surface 5221 of block 52 causing it to pivot into the chamber whereby flange 523 engages in notch 83. In the open position, arms 521,522 are clamped against wall 512. |
