PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high quality and high-speed printing by reducing an impact which an airflow generated by liquid drop groups in a immediately preceding event has on a liquid drop group in a subsequent event, when all discharges executed in a recording head during a driving cycle at discharge openings is defined as an event, in a constitution that a plurality of discharge openings of the recording head drives with time-sharing and discharges ink. SOLUTION: An area A1 projected to a virtual prescribed plane yz, formed while all liquid drop groups are flying, is 92% to less than 100% of an area A2 found by an expression: A2=(the driving cycle of the discharge openings tr×a discharge speed v×a maximum width of simultaneous discharge liquid drops w). The maximum width of the simultaneous discharge liquid drops w is a distance obtained by projecting to the prescribed plane a distance between liquid drops of both ends out of liquid drop groups belonging to a simultaneously driving block of the time-sharing driving.
