PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine capable of suppressing a waste of a plastic material to a minimum limit when the material in a plasticizing injection chamber of the machine is replaced with a different type and efficiently executing a replacing work in a short time. SOLUTION: The injection molding machine for injecting a heated and molten thermoplastic resin in a mold comprises a screw 8 rotatable around a rotary shaft 10, a cylinder 3 having an inner wall inclined to the shaft 10 of the screw 8, an oblique surface provided at least a distal end of the screw 8 and contacted with the inner wall of the cylinder 8 and a spiral groove 9 provided on the oblique surface. In this machine, a sidewall of the groove 9 is formed to be in parallel with the shaft 10 or enlarged toward an exterior.
