PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a garbage treating device which enables the reduction of its running cost. SOLUTION: A container 31 for housing materials to be agitated is internally provided with two agitating booths 32a and 32b of an approximately semi- arcuate shape in sectional shape in juxtaposition in its diametral direction. Chips 11, etc. using the stalks of bamboo as mushroom beds where fermentation bacteria propagate are housed into the container 31. Coil springs 52a to 52d are respectively interposed between the base surfaces of respective flanges 51a to 51d disposed near the top ends at the four corners of the container 31 and the respective top surfaces of four struts 53a to 53d to slidably support the container 31. A motor mounted with eccentric weights 44a and 44b at both ends of a revolving shaft 43 is arranged on the lower side of the container 31.
