PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine preventing the noise caused by the sound of discharged air and easy to carry. SOLUTION: The washing machine 1 is constituted so that an air cylinder 2 is operated by compressed air supplied through a solenoid changeover valve 3 so as to be changed over and the washing basket 5 suspended from the air cylinder 2 is raised and lowered in a bubbled washing liquid 9 to wash the article to be washed in the washing basket. Herein, as bubbling air, air discharged at the time of operation of the air cylinder is used. That is, as the bubbling air, compressed air, discharged from the air port 33 of the solenoid changeover valve 3, is utilized. By this constitution, a conventional compressed air source exclusive to bubbling is dispensed with and the washing machine can be made compact and the sound of air discharged from the solenoid changeover valve 3 having become a noise source can be eliminated.
