PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shear a workpiece in the directions of long and short sides thereof by use of one shearing machine and to reduce the costs and the space required for the machine. SOLUTION: The shearing machine 1 shears a workpiece by means of an upper blade 9 provided on an upper frame 7 and a lower blade 13 provided on a lower frame 11. A rotary actuator 25 for rotating the workpiece horizontally on a table 15 provided on the lower frame 11 is provided on the upper frame 7.
