PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable wheelchair which has the reduced number of constituent parts, is folded and unfolded through easy operation and is lightweight while maintaining sufficient strength. SOLUTION: The wheelchair consists of a front leg frame 5 consisting of front leg members 1 and a footrest member 3 and fixed with front wheels 2, a rear leg frame 5 fitted in a turnable manner to the front leg frame and fixed with rear wheels 6, a backrest frame 122 fitted in a turnable manner to the front leg frame, a seat surface seat 9 supported by the upper end sides of the front leg frame and the rear leg frame 5, and a backrest sheet fitted to the frame 12. The wheelchair is folded by turning the frame 12 backward and turning the front leg frame and the frame 5 to each other to be nearly parallel.
