<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical printer capable of taking a good exposure timing even when grooves of a rotary encoder is plugged. SOLUTION: The optical printer comprises a transfer means 220 for transferring an optical head 210 and a photosensitive body relatively, a rotary encoder 250 for detecting the relative position of the optical head 210 and the photosensitive body, encoder pulse generating means 251 for generating an encoder pulse synchronized with the rotary encoder, and control means 601 which controls the optical head depending on the encoder pulse to irradiate light to the photosensitive body when the encoder pulse is generated within a predetermined time, and controls the optical head based on a predetermined passage of time to irradiate light to the photosensitive body when the encoder pulse is not generated within a predetermined time.</p> |
