PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform polishing with excellent precision and reliability and to make an easy exchange of a polishing sheet. SOLUTION: A polishing platen 24 at which a polishing sheet 26 is fixed is formed in a disc-like shape and contained in a recessed part 22a of a containing member 22 rotated by a rotation shaft 14. A hollow part 15b forming an air pass passage sucked by a suction pump is formed in the containing member 22. Horizontal groove 24a and a vertical groove 24b communicating with the through-hole 22b are formed in the under surface and the side surface of the polishing platen 24.
