PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular body made of a fiber reinforced resin, having high bending strength, large quantity of deflection in bending and high torsional strength in spite of high rigidity and excellent in impact characteristics. SOLUTION: In the tubular body made of the fiber reinforced resin containing reinforcing fibers and a matrix resin and having a straight layer, wherein the angle of orientation of the reinforcing fibers is below±10 deg. with respect to the axial direction of the tubular body, and an angle layer wherein the angle of orientation of the reinforcing fibers is from±30 deg. to±90 deg. with respect to the axial direction of the tubular body, as the matrix resin of the straight layer, a resin with an elastic modulus of 3.3-4.3 Gpa is used.
