PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply reduce the thickness distribution of a coating film in the lateral direction of a web when the coating film is formed on the web using a coating rod. SOLUTION: When the coating film A with a desired thickness is formed on the film 12 using the coating rod 28, tension distribution is intentionally applied in the lateral direction of the web 12 by displacing the guide roller 20B, which is provided at the vicinal position of the coating rod 28, to adjust the thickness distribution of the coating film A in the lateral direction of the web 12.
