PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric rice cooker whose lid is detachable, which can effectively be heated from the lid side keeping the compactness of the cooker. SOLUTION: A lid side heating means 24 having a heat radiation plate 17 which is placed inside of a lid 2, is equipped at the inner side of a hinge 20 which enables the lid 2 to be detachable. A heat generated at the lid side heating means 24 is conducted to the heat radiation plate 17. By using the heat radiation plate 17, glutinization can be suppressed when rice cooked, and also a dewdrop is prevented during warm keeping.
