Method for impregnating sand beds and other stone-like materials comprises using a bitumen-free aqueous emulsion containing 40-70 wt.% of a mixture of petroleum resin (10-50 wt.%), emulsifier (0.05-2.5 wt.%) and aromatic petroleum extract (20-80 wt.%). Independent claims are also included for: (1) a material comprising sand and the emulsion; and (2) an injection fluid for sand beds, comprising the emulsion.
