PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is possible to gently change the wall thickness of a parison in a conventional blow molding method for a hollow container but it is difficult to suddenly change the wall thickness and, therefore, it is difficult to manufacture a hollow container having a complicated shape. SOLUTION: A method for blow molding the hollow container made of a resin includes a parison forming process for extruding the resin in a molten state to form the parison; and a container forming process for arranging a container mold outside the outer peripheral surface of the parison and sealing one end of the parison to allow a fluid to flow in the parison, expanding the parison to press the same to the container mold, and cooling the expanded parison to form the hollow container. A parison wall thickness adjusting process for adjusting the wall thickness of the constituent part of the parison forming the arbitrary constituent part of the hollow container by expansion, so that the arbitrary constituent part of the hollow container becomes desired wall thickness is included between the parison forming process and the container forming process.
