PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for color changing at a plastic/ rubber extruding time not particularly needing cleaning of a cylinder/screw for color changing and capable of shortening a time of dichroic mixing state without necessity of a switching valve. SOLUTION: The method for color changing at the plastic/rubber extruding time comprises the steps of coupling distal ends of cylinders of a plurality of main extruders of extruding mechanism of a plurality of types of extruding systems each having the main extruder and a sub-extruder to a crosshead via a combining tube, reversing the screw of another main extruder while a material of a specific color is extruded and coated by one main extruder, and overflowing the material from a rear part of the cylinder while supplying the material of the specific color to be color changed next from the sub-extruder into the cylinder of the main extruder at this time. In this case, the sub-extruder is coupled to the distal end of the cylinder, a gap is provided between the rear part of the cylinder of the main extruder and a reduction gear coupled to the rear part of the screw in the cylinder to provide a reverse flow material removing unit.
