PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for treating an end of a rubber roller capable of preventing a thin rubber film from being left behind on a cut end face, completely separating an ear rubber part, and preventing a step from being stopped and the rubber roller from being stained and impaired. SOLUTION: A cutting blade 3 is bitten in a rubber layer end part 5 of the rubber roller 8' before working which is fitted to a rotating cutting machine such as a lathe to the depth at which the ear rubber part 5' starts the transverse oscillation perpendicularly in the axial direction of a core 1, and at the same time, an ear rubber removing means 6 is pressed against the ear rubber part 5' to forcibly separate the ear rubber part 5' from the rubber layer end part 5.
