PRESS AND ITS DIFFERENTIAL GEAR REDUCER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press of a low noise level and capable of high-precision control of the slide position. SOLUTION: A differential gear reducer designed to be controlled to a high speed and a low speed is connected for reciprocating the slide of a press, and a main servomotor 8 with a large output is connected to one input shaft 6 of the differential gear reducer and a sub-servomotor 9 with a small output is connected to the other input shaft 7. By this arrangement, the rotation speed of the sub-servomotor with a small output is made naught or low to decrease the rotation of the output shaft of the differential gear reducer to the prescribed low speed when the slide presses, and the rotation speed of the sub-servomotor with a small output is made high to increase the rotation of the output shaft 10 to the prescribed high speed when the slide does not press during descending or ascending. Thus the slide drive is controlled to the required press slide motion diagram.
