PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope shape detecting probe improved in durability without causing disconnection at a connection part between a coil part and a signal line. SOLUTION: In this endoscope shape detecting probe disposed in an insertion part, the coil parts 34 each comprising a coil 35 with a lead wire 42 wound around a hollow core material 40, and a substrate 41, are stuck to a bar-like support member 33. In the case of connecting the coil 35 and a signal line 36 by the substrate 41, a length Y projecting in the direction of the insertion part from the end face of the substrate 41 at a hard part in the case the end part of a core exposed by taking off the coat of the signal line 36 is soldered to the substrate 4, and a length Z projecting in the direction of the insertion part from the end face of the substrate 41 to the end face reaching the coated part of the signal line 36, are formed not to exceed a length X projecting in the direction of the insertion part from the end face of the substrate 41 at a support member side hard part when fixing the substrate 41, or the like, to the support member 33 with an adhesive 44.
