A golf ball including at least one core layer, a cover layer, and at least one intermediate layer disposed between the core and the cover, wherein the at least one intermediate layer is formed of a polymer composition having a flexural modulus of about 52,000 psi or less and the golf ball has a coefficient of restitution of greater than about 0.7, wherein the polymer composition includes at least one ionomer and at least one polyamide polymer, or wherein the polymer composition includes a thermoset or thermoplastic polymer.
