PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer having a function for converting a virtual address into a physical address. SOLUTION: The inventive printer comprises a CPU, a DMA controller and a internal memory. The CPU and the DMA controller are connected, respectively, with a first memory bus. The internal memory is connected with a second memory bus. The printer further comprises an address conversion unit connected with both first and second memory buses. The address conversion unit receives virtual addresses from both the CPU and the DMA controller by a first memory address and operates to convert these virtual addresses into physical addresses. The address conversion unit transmits the physical addresses to the memory through the second memory bus. |
