<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove-forming wheel for no-till direct sowing method, having prolonged life by suppressing the abrasion of the outer periphery of the wheel and keep the sharpness of the edge for a long period, enabling the formation of a sowing groove having a sharp V-form bottom, constantly keeping the local climate of the sowed part to a desirable state and achieving good germination of the seed. SOLUTION: The groove-forming wheel for no-till direct sowing use is a circular disk composed of a pair of curved circular disks 1, 2 placed by directing the concave faces opposite to each other and integrated by bringing exclusively the outer circumferential edges of the disks in contact with each other to form a nearly V-shaped cross section in radial direction. The outer diameter of one of the two curved disks 1, 2 is made to be slightly larger than that of the other curved disk. The outer circumference of the concave surface of the large-diameter disk 1 is welded and integrated to the outer circumferential edge of the small-diameter disk 2 and partial quench hardening treatment such as induction hardening is applied exclusively to the ring- shaped range of the outer circumferential edge of the convex surface of the large- diameter curved disk 1 to form a hardness difference between both faces of the sharp outer circumferential edge.</p> |
