PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a threading throwaway tip equipped with a wear sensor ensuring an electric connection between a sensor line formed on the chip and an external circuit without hindering cutting operation, when the tip is mounted in a holder or the like. SOLUTION: The threading throwaway tip adapted for cutting thread grooves has a conductive sensor line 12 provided on the peripheral surface 8 of the tip body to extend along cutting edges 9, the sensor line being electrically insulated from the chip body. A pair of contact areas 13 and 14 electrically connectable with a predetermined circuit is provided on each of the upper surface, the bottom face 6 and/or the peripheral surface of the tip body while being electrically insulated from the tip body, and two connecting lines for connecting the two contact areas respectively with one end and the other end of the sensor line are provided on the surface of the tip body while being electrically insulated from the tip body.
