PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method and a device which can prevent and/or largely reduce recording sounds in a dispersion recording technology using a thermal head. SOLUTION: The image recording method comprises uneven distances between plural pulses when one pixel is recorded with the plural pulses, and further, the device adding a controlling means to the method can be realized. When the distance between the plural pulses is set uneven, it may be done within one pixel and may extend over another pixel adjacent to the pixel. Furthermore, the distance between the above plural pulses may be uneven between data transfer blocks when the data are transferred from a host device.
