PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shorts-type disposable diaper which has wide fit sizes and easy to a person wear and which generates suited fastening force to secure sufficient fitting property. SOLUTION: As for the shorts-type disposable diaper 1, elastic members 71a and 71b around a waist are provided at a waist surrounding part D. At regions D1 on an outer side than at least the both-side edges of an absorber 4, the members 71a and 71b are arranged and fixed in an expanded state so as to provide expansion/contraction elasticity. At at least the central part of a site where the absorber 4 exists, the members 71a and 71b are not arranged in the state of providing expansion/contraction elasticity. The rate of the width W2 of the absorber with respect to the product width W1 of the diaper is 30 to 60% and the rate of the disposing width W3+W4 of the members 71a and 71b at the regions D1 on the outer side of both side parts of the absorber 4 with respect to the product width W1 of the diaper is 40 to 95%.
