PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evacuator for medical use capable of rapidly releasing the negative pressure even when the pressure inside a body cavity of a patient reaches a highly negative pressure. SOLUTION: This evacuator for medical use comprises a vessel for storing the body fluid discharged from the body cavity of the patient, a body fluid suction pipe 14 for passing the body fluid from the body cavity of the patient to the vessel, an air feed pipe 24 for communicating the vessel with the outside air via a filter 26 to feed the outside air into the vessel, a suction pipe 15 for communicating the vessel with a suction pump 19, a pressure sensor 28 for detecting the pressure in the vessel, a solenoid valve 25 disposed in an air feed conduit in order to control the inflow of the outside air from the air feed pipe into the vessel, and a control device 20 for controlling the suction pressure by the suction pump by the signal from the pressure sensor and controlling the opening/closing operation of the solenoid valve.
