PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply joint two overlapped material for high-quality work by friction welding. SOLUTION: (a) A flat part of the first material to be joined 1 and a flat part of the second material to be joined 2 are overlapped at least a portion each other, (b) the portion of the overlapped of the first material to be joined 1 is cut circumferentially toward the overlapped direction from outside surface, (c) the inner part of circumferentially cut part 5 is contacted with the second material to be joined 2 to make a cylindrical connecting member 1a capable of rotation, (d) the connecting member 1a is rotated and generate a friction at least between the connecting member a and the second material to be joined 2, (e) and with this friction heat, the connecting member 1a is welded to the first material to be joined 1 and the second material to be joined 2 respectively.
