METHOD FOR CERMET COATING ROLLS USED IN HIGH SPEED COLD ROLLING LINE

PURPOSE: A method for cermet coating rolls used in a high speed cold rolling line is provided which extends a life cycle of coating by controlling roughness of a coating layer in applying cermet coating to a steel sheet which is transferred in the high speed cold rolling line at a transfer speed of 800 m/min or more. CONSTITUTION: In cermet coating process rolls used in a cold rolling process where a steel sheet is transferred at a high speed, the method for cermet coating rolls used in a high speed cold rolling line comprises the process of polishing the coating layer to a roughness of 2 to 3 microns after forming a coating layer having a roughness that is 2 to 3 micron higher than a required roughness using cermet coating, wherein the method comprises the process of forming a cermet coating layer having a roughness which is 2 to 3 micron higher than a required roughness on the base coating layer after forming a base coating layer using metallic spray materials particles of which are coarse when a roughness that is 2 to 3 micron higher than a roughness used is not obtained only by cermet coating.
