PURPOSE: A device and method for searching a specific person are provided to supply various services by performing a diversification of a group to be searched and to make a user search a person easily by displaying text information and a position with respect to a search person on a map and to make a chatting possible. CONSTITUTION: If a user connects to a specific person search site through the Internet, a community service processing unit(20) controls a managing units for supplying each service in accordance with a service requested by a user and transmits a result supplied in each managing unit to the user. A member information managing unit(25) judges whether the connected user is a registered member, transmits the result to the community service processing unit(20), and manages a member information registration and update. A one's hometown position information managing unit(45) searches other member whose hometown is a map position currently inputted from the connected user, supplies the result to the community service processing unit(20), makes map positions inputted by members hometown positions, and manages a registration and an update thereof. A stage position information managing unit(60) and a site position information managing unit(65) perform a similar process, respectively, to the one's hometown position information managing unit(45). A recommendation place information managing unit(75) searches recommendation places existed the same position as a map position currently inputted from the connected user, supplies the result to the community service processing unit(20), makes map positions inputted by members member recommendation places, and manages a registration and an update thereof. If the user requests geographic information through the above managing units, a geographic information search unit(95) searches geographic information and supplies a map. A database(100) stores data being managed in the above managing units.
