There is disclosed a secure storage unit for secure delivery of goods and a secure method for the delivery of such goods. In one embodiment, the secure storage unit is accessed by a two-part access code. In another embodiment, the secure storage unit is accessed by the use of an access code in a certain time frame. A central controller preferably controls the delivery technique. The technique is particularly advantageous when used as a method of delivering goods ordered over the Internet. The delivery technique is controlled through a central management system or hub, access to which may be provided through a website. Participating retailers can be accessed directly or through the central management system. |
