PURPOSE: A piston for preventing the deformation of a piston pin is provided to improve the strength of a piston pin, to reduce the weight of a piston pin, and to enhance durability by reducing the thickness of a piston pin and fitting a support bar in the piston pin. CONSTITUTION: A hollow core piston pin(3) is fitted in between pin bosses(2) of a piston. The piston pin is fitted in a small section(5) of a connecting rod. Thickness of both sides of a contact portion(6) is reduced. Supports bars(11) are inserted into thickness-reduced portions(7,8). Both ends of the support bar are arc faces contacting to the inner face of the thickness-reduced portion. When a high pressure is applied to the piston pin from the connecting rod and the pin boss, the support bars resist against the load. Therefore, the deformation of the piston pin is prevented.
