PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for generating a guide speech of an automatic response system are provided to create a required guide speech using a voice token connection method and a text-to-speech method. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for generating a guide speech of an automatic response system includes a radio actor voice token list(200), a text-to-speech module(300), and a composite module(100). The radio actor voice token list records required voice tokens in advance. The text-to-speech module converts an input text to a speech. The composite module divides an input text into sentences and compares the sentences with the contents of the radio actor voice token list. The composite module stores sentences that accord with the contents of the list but generates a composite sound for sentences that do not accord with the contents through the text-to-speech module, and then synthesizes the accorded contents and the composite sound to create a desired text.
