PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus and a method wherein operation error is prevented regarding selection of a program. CONSTITUTION: A program table displayed on the screen of a television receiver 50 is displayed in such a way that a past program (a program which has already been broadcast), a program which is being broadcast at present and a future program (a program which is broadcast from now on) are color-coded so as to be distinguished. A selected program frame is displayed further in another color. When the selected program frame refers to the program which is being broadcast at present, a display operation is changed over to a selected program. When the selected program frame refers to the future program, the processing of the picture-recording reservation of the selected program is executed. |
