摘要 |
PURPOSE: To solve the problem that plural times of erroneous electronic discharge are generated between scanning electrodes and sustainance electrodes during initialization in the conventional method for driving a plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: When a voltage to be applied to a 2nd row electrode is 0(V) in the initialization, a voltage pulse rising up to a voltage Vr(V) exceeding a firing potential with respect to the 2nd row electrode and column electrode is applied to a 1st row electrode. In the course of holding the voltage, a voltage Vh(V) not exceeding the firing potential with respect to the 1st row electrode is applied to the 2nd row electrode. In the course of applying the voltage Vh(V) to the 2nd row electrode, a voltage pulse rising up to a voltage Vb(V) exceeding the firing potential from a voltage Vq(V) not exceeding the firing potential with respect to the 2nd row electrode is applied to the 1st row electrode. |
