A scaffolding structure (10) is provided for a building (15) being erected. The scaffolding structure (10) is in the form of a substantially two-dimensional inner grid (12) interconnected with a substantially two-dimensional outer grid (14). Each of the grids (12, 14) is comprised of load bearing members (20,22,24,26) having relatively constant strength over time under expected loading conditions of the scaffolding structure (10). Further, the scaffolding structure (10) includes additional bamboo members (25, 27) secured on the outer grid (14) such that the interstices defined by the load bearing members (24, 26) and the bamboo members of the outer grid (14) are smaller that the interstices defined by the load bearing members (20,22) of the inner grid (12). |
