The adjustable overshoe, especially for a golf shoe, has a sole (1) in the form of a frame in sections. The lower edge of this forms an inner flange (11) with holes (111) around it. The sections of the frame are connected by elastic strips. The upper (2) is in the form of a shoe or wellington boot with a horizontal lower flange (21) around its edge. This also has holes (211) which correspond in position to those in the sole to allow the two parts of the shoe to be connected by fasteners (22, 23), the elastic connecting strips automatically adjusting the shoe to fit.
