A liquid composition for the controlled release of gonodotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) or its analogues is provided that includes: (i) a non-polymeric, non-water soluble liquid carrier material (HVLCM) having viscosity of at least 5,000 cP at 37°C that does not crystallise under ambient or physiological conditions; and (ii) GnRH or analogues thereof.
