PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content delivery device, having a mechanism for autonomously determining allocated storage capacity and a policy for selecting contents to be stored as setting information on respective content directories. SOLUTION: Event of receiving a delivery request for stored contents from a user is defined as a hit. This content delivery device is provided with a means for memorizing the number of hits, corresponding to each candidate for the policy and allocated storage capacity for each content directory, a means for renewing this memory according to the reception of a delivery request, and a means for determining the policy and allocated storage capacity, so that the number of hits increases with the memory.
