<p>A transfer roll which comprises a shaft and an elastic foam layer formed on the periphery of the shaft, and is a member which transfers a developer to a charged recording medium. The elastic foam layer has an average cell diameter of 300 to 400 νm, and at least 80% of the cells thereof have a cell diameter in the range of ±200 µm based on the average cell diameter. It gives a satisfactory even image through transfer.</p> |
