PURPOSE: An intelligent robotic camera and distributed control system for such camera is provided to monitor and record the motion of image analysis result by using the active robotic camera having camera controllers mounted to the fan, tilt, zooming camera, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A distributed control system comprises a plurality of intelligent camera units(200a to 200f) for mounting a control logic for driving a fan, tilt and zoom, and which perform functions independent from each other; and a central control unit for selecting, displaying or transmitting to outside, the picture signal picked up by the intelligent camera units. The central control unit includes a screen splitter(110) and a hub(120) for receiving picture signals from each camera unit; a main processing unit(100) for checking identification of each person, or storing signals output from each camera unit; a data storing unit(150) for storing the picture signal in the detected area, or constructing a face database by using outlines for a wide variety of faces which are extracted from the picture signal to be registered; a display unit(140) for outputting the picture signal of the face detection; and a data input/output unit(130) for transmitting the face detection result of the selected picture signal, or receiving commands from an external source. |
