PURPOSE: Installation structure of an evaporator of an air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to improve the operation efficiency by receiving an evaporator in a duct inside a wall, to have air flow smoothly by removing noise and vibration, and to keep the vehicle room in the pleasant environment. CONSTITUTION: An evaporator unit(10) is installed between a heater unit(20) and a blower unit(30) in an inlet duct(100). An evaporator core(11) is installed to rotate selectively. Upon selecting a heating mode, the evaporator core is received in a space formed in the inlet duct. The exterior air flowing in through the blower unit directly heats the vehicle room via the heater unit. To install the evaporator unit, hinge pins(12) are formed on both sides of the evaporator core. An operating unit(13) is prepared in one of the hinge pins to rotate the evaporator core. Since the evaporator core is received in a heating mode, operation efficiency is improved and the vehicle room is kept clean.
