PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify and control a desired printer, when plural plug-and-play type printers are connected. SOLUTION: When it is recognized that plug-and-play type printers A, B, and C are connected by a controller 1, identifiers are applied in the order of the recognitions. Specific printer ID are applied to the printers A, B, and C by a user. Then, a table indicating the corresponding relation of the identifiers and the printer ID is generated. When the printer ID of the printer to be controlled is inputted by the user, the identifier is found from the corresponding table. Then, a control command from the user is transmitted to the printer which is specified by the identifier found. Thus, the user can specify and control his desired printer. |
