PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric car controller that improves reliability and redundancy of a regenerative brake and capable of saving space and lowering its cost. SOLUTION: During a regenerative operation, a plurality of brake choppers 7a to 7d are all operated. If any one of the brake choppers 7a to 7d fails, the control device 10 opens the brake chopper opening device 6 of the failed one of the brake choppers 7a to 7d. This structure opens only the failed one of the brake choppers 7a to 7d leaving the good ones in operation so that the redundancy of the regenerative brake can be improved. |
