PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the range of application by increasing the locating accuracy of an accident position k. SOLUTION: This protective relay comprises a pre-computing means 11 and a normal computing means 13. The pre-computing means 11 computes a fixed matrix and stores the fixed matrix in a pre-data storage means 12 based on the facilities data of a system. The normal computing means 13 is capable of determining the accident position k within a section at sufficiently high speed with high accuracy with equations derived from Kirchhoff's first and second laws, using the fixed matrix stored by the pre-computing means 11 based on the operating data of the system collected through data sampling. |
