<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembly ability and damping effect for rotating vibration or the like of a shaft in a dynamic pressure type air bearing. SOLUTION: A dynamic pressure type air bearing comprises a cylindrical housing 1; a wavy bump foil 2 to be inserted in the housing 1 to neighbor an inner cylindrical surface 10 of the housing 1; and a top foil 3 for holding a rotary shaft 5 through an air membrane 19 placed to neighbor an inner peripheral surface of the bump foil 2. The bump foil 2 and the top foil 3 are detachably engaged with the housing 1 without an intermediary of a fixing portion. Outward projections 2a, 2b are formed on both ends of the bump foil 2 in a circumferential direction thereof, and the projections 2a, 2b are engaged with a recessed portion 11 formed on an inner cylindrical surface 10 of the housing 1 in such a manner to have a play in a circumferential direction. The top foil 3 forms a projection 15 on both ends in an axial direction, and the projection 15 is engaged with an engaging groove 12 formed in the housing 1 so that the top foil 3 is locked in a circumferential and axial direction.</p> |
