<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a course including a passing point meeting desired conditions of a user in a car navigation system. SOLUTION: A goal, the type of a facility to be passed, and a desired passing time are inputted by a condition inputting means 5. Using course network data stored in a map information storing means 6, an information searching means 2 searches the course network sequentially from a current position to obtain all facilities of the type substantially meeting the conditions. Subsequently, a required time of the course to each facility is calculated and a facility arriving at a time closest to a desired passing time is selected as a passing point. A course searching means 7 then searches a course from the passing point to the goal and a course guide means 3 guides a user to the passing point and the goal.</p> |
