The drive belt acts pref. between two conical gear wheel pairs (2,3). It has parallel connected thrust pieces (4), which are imbedded into a band (5) of elastomer material. The band also has integrated reinforcement elements (6) of a material with good thermal conductivity, e.g. metal fibers, glass fibers, or a metal wire mesh. The thrust pieces are of esp. hardened steel, e.g. through-hardened 100Cr, or or carbon fibers.
