A method for securing binding on a ski has the binding support plate secured front and rear by transverse pivot bars fitted between pairs of side brackets. The brackets are shaped to fit over a base support plate fitted to the ski. The binding support plate has cut-outs on each side to align with the brackets. The front and rear brackets have c-shaped cross sections which are shaped to sit onto the base support plate.
