PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents reproducer which can provide contents data at low cost while clearing the problems of the copyright charge, and enables the contents data to be installed at high speed. SOLUTION: The storage device is stored with a large amount of contents data in a ciphered state and also stored with their cipher key. When a medium providing that the copyright charge for some contents data has been paid is inserted, the contents data are deciphered by using the cipher key stored in the storage device if the contents data are so stored that they can not be reproduced. Through this constitution, the contents data can not be reproduced without paying the copyright charge, thus the storage device can be provided at a low price and the contents data can be installed without performing any substantial installation processing. |
